Meet Your Team

Hi! I’m Rebecca, and I didn’t get in great shape until my early 40’s.

Rebecca DiNitto LeSaffre, Founder

Born and raised in Revere MA, I’ve learned to thrive by becoming resilient. As a Certified Behavior Change Specialist, a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, a NESTA Certified Fitness Nutrition Coach and a Personal Trainer for 15 years, I have dedicated my life to helping women reveal their strength.

Well as it turned out it was life changing for me. Through exercise & proper nutrition, I got rid of my headaches, and felt mentally & physically stronger.

I felt confident in my skin…and not just because my body looked different, but because my self-love and self care routines had re-wired my brain to make my life a priority, and I new I wanted to help other women experience the same.

Coaching & Damn Delicious Nutrition

I grew up an athlete, always pushing myself to be the best and my biggest competition and critic has always been myself. I loved working out and being active, playing volleyball, softball, basketball and track. These activities helped me stay in shape when I was younger. What I also loved was food. Growing up in New Orleans, eating healthy wasn’t how we lived. Food is how we show love in the south and no one ever taught me about making healthy food choices. It was always “have another plate” or “get a bigger piece,” and all of the food was fried, smothered and buttered.

I also grew up learning to cook in my Maw-Maw’s kitchen, making potato salad, gumbo, jambalaya and stuffed artichokes to name a few. We watched cooking shows and drank sweet tea by the gallon on hot days. I took that love of food with me when I began cooking and working in restaurants in high school and college. I have always had a passion for food, feeding friends and family over the years is how I show my love for them. As I got older I stopped playing sports but didn’t change my eating habits and I began to see the pounds add up.

There are some people in this world that see food as just fuel for their body; I am not one of them.

Food for me is a journey that I enjoy with all of my senses and that will never change. The challenge has been how to take that love of food and my ability to share that love with people and turn it into a healthy experience. I needed to learn to adjust my recipes to make delicious food that was healthy for myself and the people that I love.

I graduated with my degree in Social Work and worked with youth and families experiencing homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault. I have always had a passion for helping people.

Maybe it’s my sports background and team mentality, but I believe that no one wins alone.

We all need help achieving our goals in life. It’s the main reason I love being a coach. I have coached athletic teams, managed hundreds of employees and started my own consulting company coaching small business owners to achieve their goals.

After my divorce and I became a single parent, I decided that I needed to make a change and finally make myself a priority in my own life at 39. I joined Rebecca’s gym and made a promise to myself that I was going to get into the best shape of my adult life by my 40th birthday. I wasn’t concerned with the number on the scale but eating right and working out and taking time to practice self-care. After making these changes, I had a renewed sense of self and it helped me become a better mother, business owner and friend. I became more patient with myself, my son and the world around me.

You deserve to eat healthy food that you actually LOVE.

It took me a long time to realize that I was an emotional eater and that I needed to change my relationship with food if I was going to be healthy for myself and my family. It has been a lifelong struggle to manage what I eat, but through understanding why I make these choices, I can better manage my daily stress and joy to make conscious decisions regarding food. I have good days and tough days just like everyone else and I know that it’s not a sprint but a marathon.

The key is, ask for help when you need it.
